As a result, we succeeded in significantly reducing the amount of superconductor used in conventional high-temperature superconducting levitation. In the stackable structure, a proposed gear can adjust a transmission torque by changing the number of stacks. The Halbach array of magnets is used for each layer. Through simulation and experiments, the proposed structure has improved torque density compared with conventional stackable harmonic magnetic gear. The torque limit function of the cylindrical magnetic gear is concerned and adjust of the step-out torque after assembling was attempted by inserting the coil between the magnetic gears. It was confirmed that the maximum transmission torque can be adjusted by changing the coil inserted between the gears. Repulsive type magnetic levitation system can generate large levitation force. However, the repulsive type magnetic levitation system is unstable since there is no horizontal stable point and moment force without control. By the way, high temperature superconducting levitation can always stable levitation without control. If we can increase the rigidity of the Hi-Tc superconducting bearing, it is possible to cancel the instability force of repulsion type magnetic levitation. In this report, the unstable force of repulsion type magnetic levitation is stabled by combining these two magnetic levitation method.   • High Temperature Superconducting Stable Levitation Electro-energy Storage Flywheel without Control and Its Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis, NAGAYA Kosuke; MURAKAMI Iwanori, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C), Gunma University, 2001, 2002, In this paper, a simple and stable energy-storage flywheel system with high temperature superconducting levitation is presented. This system has new methods in drive system and electromagnetic damper. In order to have stable levitation, a superconductor and a permanent magnet are used, and 3 permanent magnets support the top of the shaft. In the part of drive system, 8-poles permanent magnet and 8 coils are used to cancel electromagnetic force in the radial direction. A magnetic damper consisting of permanent magnet for levitation and 4 coils is presented, which lies at each end of the shaft. When the shaft vibrates in the direction perpendicular to the shaft, the current flows in the damper coil. It generates the electromagnetic force. The force is in proportion with vibration frequency of the shaft, so that the force behaves like damping forces. Using this system, we have stable levitation, and vibrations at resonance frequencies can be suppressed significantly., 13650244
